The Crawford County Genealogical Society, Inc is an Arkansas nonprofit corporation, founded in 1977. It is recognized under the IRS code, Section501c.3 as a tax exempt organization.
The purpose of the Society is to create and support interest in genealogy and history among citizens of Crawford County, Arkansas and the surrounding area. Through monthly meetings, publications, and special activities, the Society provides for the exchange of ideas and technologies for genealogical and historical research. We also provide assistance for those interested in their family history.

The Crawford County Genealogical Society meets on the second Tuesday of every month at the Alma Public Library. Please come and join us. We have 6 new members this month.

Membership fee is $20 for single and $21 for couples. You will recieve 2 copies of the "Panning for Nuggets" book, one every six months. If you are not in the area the books will be mailed to you.

The Alma, Arkansas class of 1955 met at the Western Sizzler in Van Buren, Arkansas. on Monday, August 11, 2008. There were 14 members in attendance. Thank-you to Joyce (Belt) Joyce and Elizabeth (Smith) Arnold for getting us together. We will meet again in November with location to be announced.

The 50 's 2008 Scholarship Reunion will begin on Friday night(Oct3) with Free football tickets.
After the game we will get together at the Alma Public Library on Main Street in the court yard and meeting room for refreshments and visiting. On Saturday, Oct4 we will have a dinner at the Alma Middle School at 6:30 pm. Dinner will be catered by Kibler United Methodist Church. Visiting will begin around 4:00.
The class of 1958 is having their 50th reunion this year.
